抄録

This paper studies a block decoupling problem for linear systems over principal ideal domains under the assumption that the output matrix is fullrank. Some necessary and sufficient conditions for the problem to be solvable are obtained, and furthermore it is shown that the poles of the block decoupled system can be assigned arbitrarily.

A two-phase optimizing algorithm is proposed to achieve the minimum total elapsed time, in order to effectively operate the FMC constructed in the previous paper. First, a scheduling problem is formulated as a two-machine, flow-shop model with buffer spaces. Next, a process planning problem for effectively operating this FMC is developed to determine both the optimum sequence of operations and the optimum machining conditions for workpieces to be machined. using the results of scheduling.Finally, a numerical example is given to show the, practical applicability of this two-phase algorithm.

抄録

Aiming at making clear the relation between the economical development in Shiga prefecture and the pollution of Biwa-Lake, we have developed a geographic information system REALS using personal computers. This paper describes the system architecture and the geographic data handling of REALS. In particular we will discuss in details the core database management system PIDMS for geographic data. The REALS is very useful to analyze the social data as well as economic data, and to present numerical results graphically by means of computer mapping. The setting up cost and running cost of REALS are so cheap that it is easy to introduce the system into even small scale administrations.

抄録

In a rotary machine, the mass imbalance of the rotor often causes vibration problems. Therefore, balancing of the rotor mass is generally required. Magnetic bearing support can provide forces which counteract disturbance arising from the mass imbalance and can keep the rotor in the vicinity of a desired position.
The main contribution of this paper is to develop a method of compensation for mass imbalance using the periodic learning control method. Using the periodic learning control method makes the compensation accurate even under the condition that identification of parameters of the system is incomplete. In this study, inverse transfer function compensation is combined with the periodic learning control method. The error converges to zero with less repetitions. Experimental study with an instrument incorporating gyro mechanism assures the effectiveness of this control scheme.
