抄録

Seismic response behavior such as the story collapse is occurred is undesirable on the structural seismic performance.The Structural Seismic Damage Control System having the energy bypass mechanism, which is for relieving the damage concentration of specific stories, is being proposed. By using the above system, the seismic response analysis for multi-degree-of freedom system have tried.It is made clear that the Structural Seismic Damage Control System having the energy bypass mechanism has a good seismic performance on make up for the weakness on response behavior occurred by plastic deformation capacity

Design of ordinary shear wall is generally elastic design basis without buckling or yield against design shear load. On the other hand, when shear wall with low yield strength steel is used for histeretic damper, plastic shear buckling strength and shear strength from tension-field ac tion has to be considered. In this study, in order to investigate the histeretic behavior of shear wall with low yield strength and stiffner rib, FEM elastic and pseudo-nonelastic buckling and elasto plastic analysis are carried out. The results are verified by cyclic sfear loading tests and presented the modeling of the histeresis loop of shear wall with low-yeeld steel.

A numerical analysis method which can consider the fracture of hysteretic dampers in the dynamic response of steel frames is proposed. Seismic response analyses including brittle fractures at hysteretic dampers are carried out for I2-story 3-span steel frames. It is assumed that the damper fracture occurs in the specific or the arbitrary stories when cumulative ductility factor of the damper reaches a critical value. The effects of the fracture condition, the seismic properties and the shear strength ratio of dampers on seismic response of frames including hysteretic damper fractures are revealed.

Dynamic loading tests of dampers with high-damping rubber were carried out, and the hysteretic model was proposed by using the test results. The damper with high-damping rubber has amplitude-dependent property, but its frequency-dependency is small. The proposed hysteretic model can model the amplitude-dependent property accurately by determining the model parameters on the test results . The validity of the proposed hysteretic model is demonstrated by comparing the test results with the simulations via the proposed model. Response analyses of a building subjected to an earthquake motion are carried out to illustrate the effects of the installed dampers.

抄録

Experimental study on high strength bolted friction joints with oversized and slotted holes were executed. From this investigation it became clear that the slip coefficient decreased up to about 10% in case using d+6mm oversized holes compared with standard holes and might decrease to about 15% in case of slotted holes. This phenomenon can be evaluated using the rate of the slip strength to the yield strength of the joints based on effective sectional area. The slip coefficients have little defference between bolt size and steel grade, and it increases with lapse of time a little in case of using rust + blust treatment on joint surface. As for the relaxation, it tends to increase in the order of standard holes, oversized holes, slotted holes.

Though several designing and fabricating methods of exterior diaphragms for RHS columns were recommended, the current types, in which the width of the beam flange is in creased, have rarely been adopted for the practical design of steel structures for several reasons . In this paper, a new type of square ring-type exterior diaphragm is proposed. The simple tension tests of the connection were carried out to know its elasto-plastic behavior, changing the thickness of RHS columns, the size of the diaphragms, the connected position and the width of the beam flange, and welding type between an RHS column and the diaphragm. The design strengths, stiffness and the formulation of the restoring force characteristics for this type of diaphragm are presented

To establish a reasonable H-Beam-to-RHS column connection, the connection with increasing column thickness at the connection area by induction heating procedure is proposed. The fabrication method of built-up RHS column, the increasing method by induction heating procedure and the mechanical characteristics of the column are shown. The tensile behaviors of the beam flange-to-RHS column cruciform connection are investigated by the cruciform tensile test and finite element analysis. To estimate the local full plastic strength of the beam-to-RHS column connection, the estimation formula by the yield line theory is proposed.

抄録

The relation between the extent of damage to the elevated bridges such as Hanshin Expressway Kobe Route under Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake Disaster and the distance from the nearest active fault to bridge has been investigated. It has been also discussed whether the extent of damage to the elevated bridges depends on the kind of nature of surface soil on which bridge struc ture is constructed. These studies are carried out by using the GIS software. The result shows that the amount of inclination of piers increases as the distance from the nearest active fault to bridge becomes smaller. It has been also revealed that any significant tendency is not recognized between the kind of nature of surface soil and the extent of damage to bridge.

A new structure, called central strutted beam supported rigid frame bridge was constructed in Okazaki city. In designing this bridge, vibration mode in longitudinal and transverse direction was occurred. Therefore this study had vibration test in this bridge subjected to running vehicle, in the aim of grasping vibration characteristics. The analytical model was made by finite element method, and simulation of eigen value and dynamic response analysis was carried out. Though this bridge has bending and torsional complicated vibration mode, the natural frequency of the proposed analytical model are in good agreement with the measurement ones when test vehicle is running.

It is predicted that not only longitudinal shear forces but pull-out forces are produced by the transverse bending moment in shear-connectors of composite two plate-girder bridges with long-span prestressed concrete slabs. We carrided out the loading test using Full scale test models, in which the height and position of the headed stud were chosen as parameters. This paper presents the stress produced in headed studs, PC slab and vertical stiffeners, and ultimate pull-outstrength of the stud. Based on the experimental results, we show the above stresses are affected by the connecting method and discuss a design method of the headed stud.

In the 1995 Hyougoken-Nanbu earthquake, brittle fractures of beam flange in the vicinity of beam-to- boxed column moment resisting connections were widely observed. One cause is stress concentration of the welded part at the connection. Therefore, horizontal haunched beam is proposed to relieve the high stress by increasing the flange area. In this paper, seven simple beamtype specimens with various haunch lengths were statically loaded. Based on the test results, effective haunch shapes, i.e., the length and the angle, are proposed to avoid brittle fractures and increase deformation capacity.

The 1995 Hyogoken-Nanbu earthquake caused severe damages to steel beamto-column connections. The authors propose side-plate connections in order to improve the structural behaviors of site-welded steel beam-ends. The side-plate connections are realized with steel plates welded to both sides of beam flanges. The intent is to expand the plastic hinge region wider than in conventional connections. In order to verify the validities of design and fabrication techniques for the side-plate connections, cross-shaped specimens were tested under three-point bending, and the finite element method analysis was also applied to the specimens to demonstrate the wider plastic region at the beam-ends.

The hysteretic plastic strains in the manufacturing processes of ERW pipes bring about the charge of yield stress from their original value. Such changes have many effects on the ultimate strength of ERW members. This report presents column strength of ERW pipes and. several kinds of equivalent yield stresses those are calculated by the simulation of manufacturing processes of them. The standard stresses, such as nominal yield stress, actual yield stress and several kinds of equivalent yield stresses, are applied to column strength evaluation and examined.
